RIM Technology
Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM) or Reinforced Reaction Injection Moulding (RRIM) is an original mould process for the manufacture of plastic form parts.
Larger components are generated with this technology. Thereby two components (and possibly further additives) are intensively mixed in a mixer and immediately after injected as bulk moulding compound in a forming mould. The precipitation hardening takes place in the form. Representative of this process is, amongst others, a low locking force of the form mould, whereby here only the mould finds itself in the vacuum.
