Laser sintering (SLS)

SLS-Bauteil

Selective laser sintering is a process to manufacture spatial structures by sintering from a powdery source material.

It is a generative layer construction process: the component is built layer by layer. Through the effect of the laser beams, this way any three dimensional geometries can also be created with undercuts.

The advantage of this process lies in the use of close-to-production materials like polyamide (PA12), thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) as well as polystyrene (PS). These materials allow themselves to be linked corresponding to their properties into the most variable development processes.
