Stereolithography (SLA)
Stereolithography (shortened to STL or SLA) is a technical principle of rapid prototyping or of rapid manufacturing by which a component is built layer by layer free in space by materialising patterns. The production of a part or multiple parts at the same time usually occurs fully automatically from computer generated CAD files.
Stereolithography has been continuously further developed and now there are a multitude of materials with a large variety of characteristics available.
For samples with a high demand in detail reproduction and surface quality, stereolithography (SLA) is the first choice.
